Summary

Minneapolitan Air was the second iteration of election season antics from In Flight Entertainment, MPLS. Building off their successful project that settled upset tummies during the turbulence of the 2020 election (JetBoo cAirlines), the flight crew of air hostesses rebooted with a public messaging campaign related to ranked choice voting and the mayoral race in Minneapolis (#dontRankFrey).

The project included the distribution of DIY stenciled yard signs and improvisational performance antics in public space where the performance troupe handed out ‘voter safety cards’ that contained instructions on how to land in dream destinations throughout Minneapolis by voting.

Activations included stops at the Greenway Glow, Powderhorn Porchfest, restaurant/bar patios, sidewalks, and public parks. Troupe members were from the drag, puppetry, burlesque, activist, public art and theater communities of Minneapolis.
